The 19th Annual FirstGlance Film Festival Philadelphia has opened it’s 2016 CALL FOR ENTRIES. Short and feature-length entries will be accepted though July 31, and this year’s festival proper is scheduled for November 4-6, 2016.
Since their inception in 1996, FirstGlance has become one of the fastest growing truly-independent film fests in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles. As aforementioned, 2016 impressively marks their 19th year in Philly, as well as their 16th year of celebrating indie film FirstGlance-style in the City of Angels.
Named five times as one of the “Best Film Festival Investments” and “50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” by Movie Maker Magazine and “One of the Festivals for the Rest of Us” by Time Magazine, FirstGlance has become a leader in mid-sized film festivals.
As the longest running international bi-coastal indie film festivals in the United States, FirstGlance has theatrically screened over 1500 films to over 120,000 attendees and has the most active Short Online Contest, having screened over 500 short films to over 100,000 online-viewers and voters over the past 7 seasons.
