Charlie Sheen, fired from “Two and a Half men” by CBS and Warner Bros., shunned by some for his self-termed “psychotic break”, now poised to have the last laugh?

Although not in-the-bag just yet, the sitcom star is over the ratings hurdle with “Anger Management”, and Lionsgate has hinted that FX may pull the trigger on a 90 episode order in the coming weeks.

Sheen’s manager, Mark Burg, stated “Charlie’s excited. Everybody is excited, anticipating FX picking up the show, though it’s not official yet,” in an interview with the Daily News.

Lionsgate Television Group plans on delivering approximately 40 episodes per year to FX, with talks of syndication following close behind.
